Dr. (Mrs) Olajumoke M. Akiode – CEO / Executive Director
Dr (Mrs) Olajumoke M. Akiode is the Executive Director/CEO of Center for Ethics and Sustainable Development (CESD), a non-governmental, non-profit research organization. Olajumoke is a professional policy and socio-political researcher, trainer and consultant. Her area of expertise include Applied Ethics, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), Monitoring and Evaluation, Public-Private Infrastructure Partnership Advisory, Stakeholder Management and Corporate Sustainability. She is a passionate advocate of sustainable development, women empowerment, good governance and anti-corruption initiatives. Olajumoke holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Applied Ethics & Socio-political philosophy from the University of Lagos. She also holds a Certificate in Public- Private Infrastructure Partnership (PPIP) from the University of Queensland, Brisbane Australia. In the last thirteen years, she has been passionately engaged in women empowerment, and initiated the Women Empowerment and Advancement Forum (WEAF). She is also the founder of the Women in Infrastructure Community Africa (WICA), a platform for women engaged in the infrastructure sector in Nigeria and Sub-Sahara Africa. She is a member of the International Association of Philosophers, UN Women’s Empowerment Principle (UN WEP), UN Global Compact Nigeria Network, EvalGender Evaluation Network, Evidence Based Policy in Development Network (EBPDN), Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG)’s Infrastructure and Gender Policy Commissions, FOI Network, Anti-corruption Experts Network, as well as a member of UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
