Competition Rules
- This competition is generally open to high school students between 14-17* and all university students. Each competition partner handles the registration of the competition.
- Students are registered in teams of two and with an accompanying teacher. You can have many teams per teacher.
- Each team will have a player account which will be issued by the competition partner.
- Students will play in teams of two and compete at their own schools/home or at a common venue (e.g. at a university) with internet access.
- Students should have access to the game for a period of up to 3 days and can play as many times as possible within the 3 days.
- Top 3 teams with the highest basin score for Mission Two – “Water Security” at the end of the 3 days will be local winners.
- Top 3 teams with the highest basin score for Mission Two – “Water Security” among all countries at the end of November 2018 will be global winners.
- All decisions concerning winners will be made by UNEP-DHI and country partners and are final.
- *Competition organisers can change this age group at their own discretion.
Prizes
UNEP-DHI will provide certificates for local winners and schools as well as certificates for global winners and schools. These certificates will be recognised by UNEP.
The global winners will be winning additional prizes worth 1000 AUD in total. This prize pool is proudly sponsored by Curtin University. The prize will be distributed as follows:
Global winner – 2 x 250 AUD as book voucher or similar
2nd place winner – 2 x 150 AUD as book voucher or similar
3rd place winner – 2 x 100 AUD as book voucher or similar
Known issues of the game
The game requires a stable internet connection. Please make sure that the participants have access to it.
The game is not supported in Internet Explorer and is not playable on tablets.
